The 2011 Festival of St Arnaud was great fun and great success! We look forward to seeing you at the Festival next year!

For those of you who don't already know, St Arnaud is a picturesque town in the Goldfields, 60 minutes drive west from Bendigo, 70 minutes drive north of Ballarat. We are about a 3.5 hour drive from Melbourne, so why not make a day trip up here! There are plenty of places to stay if you are thinking of exploring the area.

Pronounced St Ar-nad, not the French way (we are in Australia!) the town St Arnaud was named after a Crimean war 'hero', Jacques le Roy de Saint Arnaud, a French commander who had a great victory at the time the township was established.  Several of our local streets are named after successful war commanders of the era.  There are several sculptures in the town portraying St Arnaud at the time of his victory.
